Costa Coffee & Stone House Books both based at Workhouse Square in MacDonagh Junction Shopping Centre are working together this summer to organise a children’s summer book club.
The book club will take place at Costa Coffee on Monday mornings at 11am commencing on 13th July until August 24th. Children from the age of 8-10 years are invited to participate in the book club. In a unique initiative this book club supports Irish writers and Irish employment as they have joined forces with O’Brien Press, one of Ireland’s leading children’s publishers from whose stock the books have been chosen.
A 10% discount is given on the purchase of the six selected books from Stone House Books. On certain dates authors of the book will attend the book club to speak with the children and explain about the book . Certificates are given to all children who participate as well as a party on completion of the book club.
Places are limited and if you wish to put your children’s name down or to find out more information please contact Liz at Stonehouse Books 7790780 or email stonehousebooks@gmail.com A wise man once said “Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body”
