Most of my paintings are connected to the countryside in subject or reference, such as equestrian portraits and hunting scenes. A great deal of my focus currently stems from a love of animals. I like to observe their expression and the way in which they interact with humans. Currently I am working on a series of still life paintings, taking a fresh look at everyday objects, in a series of bright acrylic sketches. Although I frequently use acrylic paint, I also work in oils when time permits, and occasionally pen and wash, watercolour or pastel. I am available for commissions, and will soon be offering adult classes to beginners and improvers. |
